Flight Operations Officer / Flight DispatcherCourse
Function:
Basic function of Flight Operations Officer /Flight Dispatcher is to assist the pilot in the preparation of Flight Plan. Allairlines and most charter companies employ FOO in their staff for doing thisjob.
Course Objective:
The objective of this course is to provide training according to thestandards of professionalism required by the airlines & to demonstrate thelevel of proficiency beyond the statutory requirement of Pakistan CAA. It also developsthe professional competence enabling the participants to discharge theirresponsibilities effectively & efficiently to achieve the prime objectiveof safe, regular & economical operation of flights.
Eligibility for FOO/FD License
Age: 18 year old and CNIC holder.
Educational Qualification:Matriculationwith Science and Intermediate with Physics / Mathematics.
English Language Proficiency: Applicant shall be capable of speaking, reading, writing andunderstanding English language.
No Objection Certificate(NOC): Serving personnel fromArmed Forces and Government Departments shall provideNOC from their Organization.
FOO/FD LicenseGeneral Requirements:
The applicant shall:
· Meet the eligibility criteria.
· Undergo an approved FOO/FD Ground Theoretical Course.
· Pass the FOO/FD Theoretical Examinations.
· Undergo a minimum 90 days on the job training at an approved FlightDispatch Center.
· Pass the CAA Oral/Skill test.
Syllabus:
Details of FOO papers are as follow:-
· Aircraft General Knowledge and Principles of Flight.
· Air Law, ATC Procedures and Operational Procedures.
· Meteorology and Flight Planning.
· Performance, Human Performance and Behavior.
· Mass & Balance and General Navigation.
· Radio navigation and Instrumentation.
· Instrument Procedures.
· VFR and IFR Communication.
Privilegesof FOO/FD License:
The privileges of a FOO/FD License are to:
· Assist the Pilot-in-Command in flight preparation and provide therelevant information required.
· Prepare Operational and ATS Flight Plans, sign the document when applicableand file the ATS Flight Plan with the appropriate ATS facility.
· Furnish the Pilot-in-Command while in flight, by appropriate means, withinformation that may be necessary for the safe conduct of flight.
· In the event of an emergency, initiate such procedures as may beoutlined in the Operations Manual.

• Groundtraining for FOO-9 starting from 28 June 2015.
• Registrationof FOO-9 is opens.

6 months (24 weeks / 600 Instructional hours).
